From heartbeat to flatline

From heartbeat to flatline

The show is on, and seems the most technologically savvy person in the crowd (aside from perhaps Willie and Bruce) is Caroline Von B. of U2log.com. She’s got the whole “take-a-picture-with-my-cameraphone-and-send-it-straight-to-Flickr” thing down pat. So keep an eye on her photostream today.

Great pic here of what I’m guessing is “Miracle Drug.”

Whoa! What’s with the name?

M2 Magazine, New Zealand

Should I be flattered that a new magazine in New Zealand has “borrowed” my sign-off as its name? I’m not!

Thanks to Mike V. of U2NewZooland.com for the tip and image. You can read more about the new magazine and the U2/Bono article at Mike’s web site.

Please, go check it out. Leave me alone to stew over the name……. ;-)

In New York….

I’ve hung out in New York maybe 8-10 times in my life, and I like to visit. So I don’t claim to be an expert on the city by any means, but this travelog by a Minneapolis writer seems to have a good grip on the vibe. It’s called “Keep on Keeping On”, and it reminds me of the line in U2’s “New York” that goes …you can forget how to sit still. The author actually quotes from a different part of the song, and even works his U2-at-The-Garden thoughts into it at the end. Good writing……
