I was at Los Angeles International Airport on December 10, 2007 coming home from a business training I gave at LMU when spotted Bono in the men's room! I didn't want to be the typical gushing fan but I also couldn't pass up the opportunity to shake his hand so...I let him finish his business and wash his hands (very important!) and then I politely tapped him on the shoulder and quietly said I didn't want to blow his cover but would he mind if I shook his hand because I respect him so much. He smiled and asked if I could hand him a paper towel (which I did) and then he shook my hand and asked me how my day was going!

Now, I don't know if the guy I met was this Bono impersonator but from only a foot away this guy looked 99.9% like Bono! He even had the Irish accent and a guitar strapped on his back and everything. If he was a fake then I hope he is making a ton of money because he was the best impersonator I've ever seen!

[...] Today’s Boston Globe reveals that it’s an imposter roaming the streets of Boston. You might recognize the lookalike as it’s the same one who was featured on NBC’s The Today Show and blogged about here a few months ago. [...]
