That title *always* makes me cringe because inevitably every major newspaper or tv station will use it in the upcoming days to celebrate Irish music and St. Patrick’s Day. The Boston Globe is no exception. Their website features a nice spread of Irish musicians with links to some of their videos found on YouTube. Surprisingly, Boston’s own Dropkick Murphys are first on their list, forcing you to scroll past B*Witched and Sinead O’Connor before coming to U2. At the end of their slideshow, you can vote on who your favorite Irish musician/act is, and as of 5:30 this afternoon, U2 is clearly in the lead with 45% of the vote. So, vote early and vote often!
