    Went to the U2 3D preview tonight. Stayed for the ‘Robinsons’ flick at the behest of my family. The visual effects were interesting, and pretty much what you’d expect. Motion appears to be the key idea. I was equally happy to see and hear the band in a theatre again (big screen & big sound), and moved with the 3-D production. I don’t believe this technology will suspend anyone’s belief, but it’s going to be wonderfully entertaining to people like us. I can’t wait to geek out and show up for the first (midnight?) screening, queue up like at a real show, and win a lottery so I can be in the ‘ellipse’ (maybe they’ll let us stand!).

    Hell yeah!!! I was in 3 of those concerts!!!!!
