ROFL! Maybe they'll get David Hyde Pierce to play Spiderman. That takes out two of your pitfalls in one go. ;p

I think it's a potentially exciting project. I love Julie Taymor's work. But it also has a million pitfalls. I have a hard time imaging Spiderman on stage, and who would play him. Also where David Hyde Pierce fits into the picture, since all Broadway musicals now need him as a good luck charm.

Is anyone else disturbed by the notion of Julie Taymor directing a musical version of Spiderman while Bono and The Edge write the score? No? Just me? Okie doke.

I'm just insanely curious to know how this will turn out. Spiderman seems like the strangest choice to turn into a musical; it's so un-musical.
