But she has very few movies under her belt and her real expertise is musical theater. Movie musicals are very, very hard to direct with authenticity and from the clips I've seen, Across the Universe looks headed for video very quickly. I hope I'm wrong but it could be the Xanadu of our time. (Meaning in 20 years it will come back as a hit Broadway musical, which maybe this should have been all along.)
