Bono vs. Montana - Hannah, That Is

Today’s Super Bowl Sunday, and every television station where I live is all about the New England Patriots. Everyone’s comparing Tom Brady to any other quarterback. So, ye olde mind thought of famed quarterback Joe Montana!

But it’s a different Montana giving some headlines - Hannah Montana and the Disney Digital 3D release of “The Best of Both Worlds: Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus” in select theaters nationwide.

So, who will win out at the box office this week? U23D or Hannah Montana?

Entertainment Weekly has chosen which one is *better*, but that’s not to say it’ll make the most money at the theaters this week.

Only two films topped $10,000 on the Per Theater Charts, both of them were 3D concert releases. Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour led the way with a record setting average of $45,561, which is the most any film playing in more than 100 theaters as earned. U2 3D also topped $10,000 with $11,720, which was down just over 25% and that bodes well for its expansion next week.

“U2 3D reached $2 million over the weekend, and could reach $3 million by this time next week.”
