The Bono bio was just very poorly researched and amateurish. There was a discussion about it on the blog [click] after it first ran.

Just a heads up to all non-UK fans: this Live Aid program seems to be only available on The Biography Channel (UK). Hopefully, it will eventually make its way across the pond, but as of right now, the schedule for The Biography Channel (US) has no listing for this specific program.

And yes, I really hope that it’ll be better than the 5-picture rotation of Bono, awful interviews with people tenuously connected with Bono, and overall high school-grade level of presentation that was the Bono Bio. Ugh.
