After reading "The Shock Doctrine" by Naomi Klein (brilliant, important book), the Sachs-Bono connection can become a little unnerving. It's a book about the devastating effects of the free-market, but Sachs is a major supporting character in the book, and Bono comes up a couple times as well. I've always had complete blind faith in Bono, and as such I assumed Sachs to be the saint Bono makes him out to be...but after reading this book, there's a lot to be wary of. It's a hard book to read, not because of how it's written, but because it will challenge all the rosy impressions most of us have about recent history, economics, and some of our political "heroes". I would suggest that everyone read it, especially Bono himself.
