As I’ve mentioned before, we recently moved into a new house. I’m still unpacking some old boxes, including a few that have old documents and paperwork.
That explains how I found this:

That’s the very first invoice from when I registered atu2.com on July 14, 1998. It cost me $70 for the first two years of domain registration; domains now generally cost about $10-12 per year.
Before buying atu2.com, @U2 existed at users.owt.com/pleeker/U2.html — a web page that you can still visit. After we moved the site to atu2.com, I put up a page alerting visitors to the new address.
And the rest, as the saying goes, is history!

That’s gold. Good memories.
I have a copy of a contract with U2 to appear in Cavan Ireland on Wednesday 27th February 1980 for a fee of £250.00 . Just before they released their first record They were with Maurice Cassidy Promotions then. Any interest?
