Looks like Bono has discovered the hair thickening spray…
“Whingeing rock star” – love that! I guess he listens to his press!
Steve, I think he’s just trying to compete with John Roberts’ hair! LOL! Being a redhead myself, I’m liking the more natural hair colour he’s going with lately.

Wow! Seriously guys! All you have to say are comments about his hair???? Have you known anyone that has died from malaria? Have you seen the suffering of the people that Bono is laying down his life for?
All I can say is Bono thank you so much for all that you do!!! Thank you for hearing the cries of the beautiful people of Africa!
“Great social forces are the mere accumulation of individual actions. Let the future say of our generation that we sent forth mighty currents of hope, and that we worked together to heal the world.”
- Jeffrey Sachs
The End of Poverty
You are the forerunner of our generation. You have set the pace for the rest of us. Mighty currents of hope will be felt for many generations because of your brave and tireless work. May our King continue to bless the work of your hands…
Keep inspiring us!!!
“Whingeing rock star” – he’s been using that line and others for years.
I notice he also wants ‘2009 to be U2’s year’ on U2’s website. He used that one in 2001. Nothing to do with not making enough money because of the the credit crisis by releasing the album this year chaps?
Also, the next album ‘might just be our best’? He’s been saying that for the last 4 albums.
U2 are a walking marketing campaign – muppets.
Heather, how exactly is Bono ‘laying down his life’ for anyone? He’s incredibly famous and incredibly wealthy – I’d love to fly all over the world doing good deeds but I have a normal life to lead worrying about paying bills.
Actually Mr Bono, if you’re so concerned about people in developing countries try flying less – touring less? (I notice you were in San Fransisco playing your new record at a party -I’m presuming you didn’t fly economy for this fantastically important event?)
That way, you and your bands enormous carbon footprint might help slow global warming meaning less crops failing, less drought, less starvation, less disease – especially in poor countries.
It is possible to campaign successfully without being a hypocrite and a sycophant. Radiohead took great care to tour in an environmentally way and although I’m biased because they’re leagues ahead musically/ethically than U2, they manage to do it without the self important bluster of your good self.
And please, STOP WEARING THOSE RIDICULOUS GLASSES.
Great little clip. Looks like good progress is being made!
Bono looks happy
Radiohead who! Oh yeah i remember them? they did that song erm.. what was it called again?? erm.
I think this conversation is about ethics not personal taste in music?
You have a very sophisticated sense of humour though.
He better not pick a candidate. I may have to burn my U2 records.

LOL! His hair looks terrible!
He does look healthy happy & fit though, ready to TOUR, and we’ve been starving for some appearances.
On a more serious note – Its good he’s making plug for ONE and in context of the current financial situation and American elections.
