Bono Voices an ESPN/FIFA World Cup Commercial
Following up on our home page news bit from last week about U2 being included in several ESPN/FIFA World Cup TV commercials, the ESPN YouTube channel has just added another one of those spots.
This one is called “United,” and I’d say yer man has a bright career ahead of him in TV voiceover work if the whole rock-n-roll thing doesn’t work out.
(Seriously, I’m not a soccer nut … but I almost wouldn’t mind if he recited that as “Magnificent” starts during the upcoming concerts.)

Hmm; “is not the hand of John Lennon with you in this?” I thought I heard a little “Give Peace a Chance” in there.
sadly it’s blocked by youtube from being seen outside of the USA.

I liked it so much I transcribed it: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dhhk36zf_96gp6dvfgq
I’m such a dork.
saw it yesterday on ESPN, and it is dynamite. Magnificent comes across superbly.
I can’t see/hear it either
@u2wanderer, that link is from 2006, I’d like to think Bono did a new one…

Bono *should* do more voiceovers! He could recite passages from a phone book and it would still be sexy.

i like it i saw it on my ipod on you tube.
Someone should tell bono the same applies to u2′s concerts.
