Does Pelosi Pogo?
In this Newsweek blog, we learn that Nancy Pelosi took some of her family to a recent U2 concert as a special guest of Bono. She proclaimed her favorite song from the show was “Elevation,” which begs the question: did she pogo?
Her republican son-in-law is said to be the rabid U2 fan of the bunch (and the one who had the birthday they were celebrating that night), but they way they describe Pelosi’s reaction to the show, she sounds like nothing short of a seasoned groupie.
If anyone has photos from the Washington, DC show with Pelosi in them, please upload them to our @U2 flickr group and leave a comment below letting us know.

Pogo?
Oh, God. I don’t mind Pelosi too much, but I hate when politicians pick U2 songs because they’re obviously lying. They’d never pick anything cool because it involves sex or depression, so they pick “up”, inoffensive songs like Bill Clinton namechecking “Beautiful Day” before his presidency ended or Barack Obama playing “City of Blinding Lights” over and over (and I’m glad he won, too). When I run for office, I’m going to say I LOVE The Cure….Okay, maybe not.
Sapwood – pogo refers to the jumping folks at U2 concerts do when “Elevation” is played.
