Hewson's Heroes

Today on Nowness, Ali Hewson discusses five of her personal heroes.

On her list: the owner of  the ethical accessories line Made; Edun‘s creative director; a member of the Conservation Cotton Intiative; a 94-year-old painter; and an African jazz singer.

Inspired choices from a woman who I consider to be a hero, and someone who is also married to someone often given that compliment.

Read her full entry (and see a larger version of this stunning photo of her) here.

    Robin—I couldn’t agree more.

Shade—In case you haven’t been following the news since 2005, Edun (the company Ali is representing here) was co-founded by Bono…who is the lead singer of U2.

To say that this doesn’t have anything to do with U2 would also be implying that Music Rising, or The ONE Campaign, or Larry’s starring role in an upcoming movie don’t have anything to do with U2.

While I agree this isn’t front page U2 news (hence, why I didn’t put it on our front page), it is of interest to Bono’s fans who appreciate his clothing line and his talented wife.

Stunning photo and also stunning how much she “sounds” like her husband in the interview. Apparently neither is one for understatement… they must have some incredible arguments at home!

    Thanks for posting the link.

Thanks. I was wrong to be so quick to assume. I only recently got the technology to follow U2 like this so I didn’t know anything about Edun or any of that.
