In Bono We Trust
AOL Living and Woman’s Day magazine recently teamed up on a survey that included a question about which celebrities can be trusted to “do the right thing,” and yer man came out near the top. Here are the top four stars listed:
- Tom Hanks – 40%
- Oprah Winfrey – 37%
- Bono – 14%
- Angelina Jolie – 9%
I must not be as up on current news as I thought, because I have no idea how Tom Hanks ranked so highly. What effort/cause is he involved in, anyway?

Tom Hanks? He just seems like such a random choice…

he looks pretty busy – but i personally think he can’t compare with bono’s work…..

I think it has less to do with established “cause” work, and more to do with being perceived as “trustworthy” – a trait that Tom Hanks has in spades.
Interesting! I think you have to consider the source, this poll would have turned out much differently if they asked a more varied audience, but hopefully Bono would still be up near the top
