In New York….

I’ve hung out in New York maybe 8-10 times in my life, and I like to visit. So I don’t claim to be an expert on the city by any means, but this travelog by a Minneapolis writer seems to have a good grip on the vibe. It’s called “Keep on Keeping On”, and it reminds me of the line in U2’s “New York” that goes …you can forget how to sit still. The author actually quotes from a different part of the song, and even works his U2-at-The-Garden thoughts into it at the end. Good writing……

I was lucky enough to go to all three Boston shows, and I want to know if anyone out there knows the band and title of the song played immediately prior to U2 coming on stage.

    Cheers,

It is “Wake Up” by the Arcade Fire, from their album Funeral
