Kelly Clarkson’s ISHFWILF Cover
Happy New Year, folks! Gotta admit that I didn’t have very high expectations for this while waiting for the audio to start, but you know what? It’s not all that bad. Pretty basic and true to the song. I’ve certainly heard a lot of worse U2 covers than this.
It’s not the full song and I have no idea when/where it was recorded.

It’s from a pre-show VIP concert she evidently does.

Does anyone else find it funny that she has called it the “All I Ever Wanted” tour and she covers “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking for?”
this is actually pretty good!! i still prefer U2, but she did an ok job with this song!
What an absolute disgrace, when will people learn that American Idol is nothing but crap talent and only losers watch it. Do us a favor Kelly, stop trying to remake music that was made by people with talent!
Bono would say this is how the song should be sung…
What an awful performance of one of the best U2 songs ever written! Wake up, America!
I think it is a very good performance. A heck of a lot better than Mary J Blige’s performance of One. And its also a heck of a lot better than U2’s covers of Helter Skelter and All Along The Watch Tower.
This was live and not previously recorded. She has been singing covers from people or groups that she admires. U2 is obviously one of them. I think she did a very good job. She obviously put a country twist to it.
I’m sure U2 would have some trouble recording some of the material that Ms. Clarkson has put out. The orginals are usually the best, but not always.
I don’t think people should bash the girl for honoring U2. She has an amazing voice as do a few other singers from AI. Obviously, there are other people who feel she has a great voice since she has sold over 23 million worldwide.
