Listen to Anton Corbijn on NPR
The celebrated photographer, responsible for the iconic shots on U2′s The Joshua Tree, is out and about again promoting his film Control about punk star Ian Curtis.
He recently sat down with Fresh Air‘s Terry Gross for a chat, which is available here:

The interview is approximately 18 minutes long and he doesn’t limit the conversation to the film (thx “lorentoy”).

What is it that Bono is singing toward the very end of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For?” It sounds like something in Gaelic, but I can’t tell. Thx.
Has anyone heard when the “U23D” movie will be released on DVD? Any chance we’d be able to see it somehow in 3D at home? Any technology that allow that? If not, please bring it back to the theaters again!!!!
ChuckM… Director Catherine Owens and the band are adamant that U23D will never be released in any format other than 3D. So until widespread home video supports 3D (which actually might not be more than a few years away), the cinema is the only venue where you can experience U23D. And frankly, without the 3D, it’s not much different than the abbreviated Milan DVD, IMHO – the 3D is what makes it so jaw-dropping.
Not sure where you live, but U23D is still playing some IMAX theaters – Saturday night shows at the New England Aquarium in Boston, for instance. Visit http://www.u23dmovie.com and click on “Find a Theater”.
Brian – Thx. very much for the information. I’d like to have the U23D movie before then, but will eagerly await the technology. It was an amazing movie!! Thx. again. – Chuck
