Are the people who actually joined the fan club and paid the $50 (recently) actually getting the tickets or are they selling out on the first day of the presale? Does anyone know? Also any word on if they are coming to Philly. We’re all really upset here b/c they have not announced anything. So we dont know if we should be trying to see them at other venues. Thanks! -H

i think website/fanclubs that sell subscriptions are evil. The ONLY reason ya’ll joined is for this presale opp. Now THATS a scam. you’re considered a “FAN” if you have enough disposable income to pay for a website and THEN the outrageous concert ticket to begin with? im a huge fan, but i didnt pay for the fanclub.

Phil R, people trying to be lazy? What about people who look at a $50 membership in U2.com as the same amount they pay per week for groceries? I am on the mailing lists of at least a dozen bands who readily give out presale codes to anyone who signs up. I think it’s wrong to sell presale codes, which is essentially what U2.com does.

Well I’m underwhelmed by the information provided by that site. The only legitimate US passwords they have are for the “venue” presales that occurred today (Gillette Stadium emailers, Chicago Bears and NY football season tix holders). Those passwords are GENERIC codes for use by anyone in those groups – and the tickets reserved for them turned out to be few and far between (no GAs, either – u2.com appears to have reserved the best seats for its members).
Presaletoday.com obviously cannot provide any of the UNIQUE u2.com passwordsk, since they are one-time-use only – and fanclub members PAID for those, so they’re not sharing them.
Unless I’m missing something, that site isn’t really providing anything you couldn’t find in five seconds on google….

Typically these sites are for those who are trying to be lazy. Putting some light on them helps other U2 fans be on the same level as lazy people.
Scalpers were using these types of sites for Vertigo and see what happened?

Touts? WTF is that? It would really suck if Principle Management caught wind of this? I used to think highly of @u2….no longer. If you want presale codes so badly..you should join up like the rest of us. This is so irresponsible I’m speechless…..

wow…cannot believe you posted this. You know, the whole concert ticket buying experience is so scummy I feel like I need a shower. What about the fans who PAY for membership? Presaletoday can go suck it.
