On The Move: Apparently Not Fast Enough for Amazon
A few years ago a friend “borrowed” my soft cover version of this striking photo-essay of a book that includes Bono’s National Prayer Breakfast speech from 2006. It was just yesterday that I finally felt it was time to tell him to go ahead and keep it and get me a replacement.
I looked it up on Amazon and got a touch of heartache when I saw the hardcover version marked down to their bargain price of $5.20. Sigh … this should not be.
But maybe the silver lining is that if you haven’t yet purchased one for yourself or are already doing your holiday shopping for family and friends, how could you go wrong with this book, this topic, this author AND this price? (And there are even lower prices for new ones in Amazon’s secondary market sellers.)

that would be a nice book to have indeed.
i don’t know if that’s the one that has been re-edited, but i would love to own the phot0 book he made in the 80s shortly after his first visit in Africa. is that the one with the Prayer Breakfast speech added up to it, or am i talking about a completely different book?
^ You must be thinking of String of Pearls. That book is pretty rare, I think, and is from the 80s.
My college bookstore had On the Move, but it was a little overpriced, of course.
I found On the Move on clearance at Hallmark, a card shop. It’s the photo book with his speech in it. I do have an extra copy if you want it. It cost around $6.
Let me know.
