On the heels of our recent interview with Dennis Bell, who directed the New Voices Of Freedom choir in Rattle And Hum, we have a couple more treats to share — also courtesy of Dennis!

He’s uploaded two rare audio tracks to SoundCloud that you’ll enjoy.

I’m gonna go in reverse order and talk first about the second one — an unreleased version of U2′s “The Sweetest Thing” that the choir recorded for the Scrooged soundtrack. Here’s how Dennis describes it on the SoundCloud page:

Dennis & his son Chris (who were co-producers of the track) were not happy with the mix and did this alternate re-mix which brings to light & the power of New Voices of Freedom. Unfortunately the weaker mix was placed on the soundtrack album.

The first song is U2 performing “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” from the film shoot concert in Arizona in December 1987, mixed after the fact with New Voices singing a coda of Bob Marley’s “Exodus.”

Both of these are unreleased and never heard before, so please enjoy!
