Sports Illustrated shared its take on the Top 10 Super Bowl Halftime Shows this week, and … to no one’s surprise … U2′s performance in 2002 is included. (Tip: Kumar)
I’m looking forward to seeing Springsteen for 10 minutes on Sunday … are you?

Of course! Bruce always gives his all. I saw the Stones at Super Bowl XL.
I think it will be interesting to see how he does.
Some Bruce fans are actually not so happy about it. (Not surprising, since his fan base is as mentally (un)stable as U2′s, with people ridiculously claiming ownership over what he should and should not be doing – but I digress
Interesting take here: Coming to Terms with Bruce Springsteen playing the Super Bowl
I think Bruce should be pretty exciting.
As another note, U2 at #10, behind….Chubby Checker, among other less memorable halftime shows?? Am I missing something?
I think that list is backwards…. #10 is “the best”. OK, maybe I’m biased, but just look at that list again.
Yes, the list is definitely backwards.
There are Bruce fans suggesting he do one of his more obscure songs, to make an artistic and politcal point, but I’m betting on Born in the USA, Working on a Dream, and Born to Run, with maybe one more.
a) it’s the Super Bowl so he has to cast as broad a net as possible and b) he’s got an album to sell.
I think Born In The USA wouldn’t be too appropriate. Probably Glory Days.
