    I hope me and my friends didn’t get bamboozled by a Bono impersonater. Someone who appeared to look and sound look Bono played at a bar in Baltimore Maryland Inner Harbor called “Howl at the Moon” Dueling Piano’s 9/15. Can someone give me information to help confirm or deny this. Thanks

    That’s probably a bamboozled unfortunately. According to the following link, Bono and Ali attended a Polo match at Phoenix Park in Ireland on 9/16 so I really doubt he was in the US the night before.

    Actually if you check the web site of Pavel Sfera (Bono impersonator), the events lists shows a private function on 9/15 in Baltimore. Just out of curiosity did he sign anything?

    Word has it from a friend in NYC that it was indeed Pavel doing the rounds in NYC. Glad to know Boston wasn’t the only city to have been “bono-oozled” by a look-alike :)

    Sherry – the “fake Bono” thing in NYC was on September 10. This post refers to July 31st. Not necessarily fake Bono.

    (However, Bono was in Europe on July 27 and again on August 7, so all we can do is guess if the guy really talked to him or not.)

    m2 the talk about the fake Bono is not in reference to the original post but to the comment by John B. who mentioned a guy who looked like Bono playing in a Dueling Pianos thing in Baltimore, MD.

    Just did some double checking and on Jul 30 Bono and Ali did an Edun thing in Artexia, Spain so it doesn’t look good for him having been in NY on the 31st.
    I’m pretty sure there were more pics of the family over the few days after that and they were still in the St. Tropez area so unless Bono did a runner to NY (which isn’t entirely unlikely) he may not have been here.
