Steve Lillywhite discusses the Native Son – Vertigo evolution
Great find yesterday on Twitter by U2log.com — Steve Lillywhite discussing the evolution of “Native Son” into “Vertigo” during “The Lillywhite Sessions,” his new East Village Radio show.
And it’s not just discussing the evolution; he actually plays clips from several versions of the song that I don’t think have ever been played in public before. There’s one version with some of the “Fast Cars” lyrics being sung over the music of “Vertigo.”
For now, you can download the audio here (link is dead), but no promises on how long that link will be active. The segment runs about 15 minutes in total.
