U2 Fans Make Awesome 360 Promo Video
When I spoke at the U2 academic conference last year, I touched on this briefly … and perhaps at some point I’ll write more deeply on it, too: U2 should start letting fans do more of its marketing. The band insists on these big, corporate gestures like the Blackberry tie-in, while other smart companies are turning things over to their audience. (Think about all the Super Bowl commercials the last couple years that involved consumers making the ads for the companies.)
Anyway, maybe more on that topic later, but for now, check out this super-cool U2 360 Tour promo video that the folks at U2Spain have created. And a warning: The audio on this is so good that it made my computer speakers rumble and vibrate.

That’s pretty cool! “Beautiful Ghost” was an interesting and fitting choice and goes well with the Claw imagery.
