the worst part of the chicago show was the beer vendors- they were all over the field and in your line of sight half the time. Good riddance!

Back to a comment I remember reading here on @u2 during this tour– if you have to be drunk to be at a U2 show, you are truly not a REAL U2 fan !

I felt the Raleigh show was *better* as a dry show. The crowd seemed more into the show and I didn’t have to worry about beer spilling over me or smelling of it at the end of the night. In Boston, vendors were walking around selling beer in the GA area – even inside the inner circle – and the drunkeness of people kind of took away from the show…not to mention having been baptized by some who were sloshing it around.

The show at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, VA was dry, too. But, it didn’t seem to dampen the enthusiasm of the crowd!
