VIDEO: U2′s Tribute to Metallica’s 30th Anniversary

I think we mentioned somewhere on the site already (or maybe it was just on our Twitter account) that U2 did a short video skit in honor of Metallica’s 30th anniversary. Metallica did a series of concert “parties” earlier this month in the Bay Area and all kinds of artists gave video tributes that played during the week.

You can find U2′s video tribute on Metallica.com, but since that video isn’t embeddable, we’ll grab the one that U2News converted to YouTube (via Scatter O’Light on Twitter).

Seriously though!!! I think that you boys had better put that “old punk” Adam Clayton back in charge… (By the way Vincent Kilduff needs a long overdue phonecall)

The Bomber jackets:/bullet belts & boots need to make a comeback, Bono Vox “once” used to look like a “proper” gangleader with descent songs & street credibility.

How can we ever forget the legendary “Under A Blood Red SKy ” video/album 1983. The Anger /speed/ passion/”old” schoolz production was all there including the piano.Those concerts in the Town halls & Youth clubs were awesome leaving me scratching my head. (It seems that everything went down hill from 1983.)

Maybe Hiro Yamamoto or Kirk Hammett should be your new producer?? checkout Soundgardens Screaming Life Ep or “The Ugly Truth” “Hands All over”/Jason Everman: BAUHAUS YOUTUBE. You all need to put the hardrock/metal/Post-Punk back into your step!!!

Unintentional additional comic material in the syntax? I hate to think of actually seeing a man with a 3 balls onstage at the Fillmore. Or the Cow Palace. I prefer to think it was the Fillmore. Love U boys:)
