Where The Street May Have a Name: Bono
The council of the town of Trim, Ireland has a tough decision ahead of them tonight. They’re deciding whether or not to name a new street after Democratic Unionist Party leader Ian Paisley.
The proposal has caused quite a debate amongst residents, who were asked to submit name suggestions for this street, which is the first to be built within the ramparts since the 1300s.
A historian came up with “Paisley Parade” while other townspeople suggested musical nods such as “Graceland Place” and—yes—”Bono Street.”
One can only imagine what the real estate value would suddenly look like if Bono Street came to fruition.
