Davy Jones’ U2 Connection
Davy Jones may have sung with the Monkees, but did you know he also moonlit as a singer with U2? It was June 21, 1997 when he took the stage with The Edge in Los Angeles to join in the karaoke for “Daydream Believer.” In honor of Jones’ passing today at the age of 66, here is his performance with Edge.

I’m still amazed we got to see Rage Against the Machine, U2 and Davy Jones in the space of a few hours. Plus, “Dig Your Own Hole” by Chemical Bros was blasted in the Coliseum between acts. What a show! Thanks for the memories…
