More Thoughts On GOYB

U2.com has an interview with Dave Fanning about his thoughts on the album. Being a man of many words, he describes it this way:

First impressions is that there’s eleven tracks on the album and ‘Get On Your Boots’ is the one you’d instantly say is the single. It’s the ‘Vertigo’ of the album - although a completely different kind of song. That was a new song which was an instant hit night after night on the last tour and this song will be the same on the next tour. People will be impressed, it’s very U2 and there’ s nothing wrong with that, a big song with lots of layers but not overproduced. Great track.

He goes on to describe his feelings about No Line on the Horizon and how he’s the lucky charm in U2′s career. Check it out.

Oh - and when you first get to U2.com, they’ve changed up the welcome screen too a bit. Must be getting ready for show time!

I listened to the song at 5am my time (http://goyb.u2.com/) in Costa Rica.
    Played the song 3 times.
I need some time to get used to the song, but is already in my head, will be a hit soon.
Sounds like Vertigo, however a different style.
    Bono great voice
Edge can be heard less than normal.

    Enjoy
