One Question for Bono

I’ve never really thought about what one question I’d ask Bono if I ever had the chance, but I can safely say it wouldn’t be about snack foods! From London newspaper The Mirror comes this:

You’re about to meet one of the giants of rock.

A great humanitarian who’s been given an honorary knighthood and nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

So what did overawed Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson ask Bono?

Yup, you’ve got in one… “Have you ever set fire to a Pringle?”

Poor Ricky must have wished he’d said nothing at all while supporting U2 at their hometown gig in Dublin last month.

The calamity Kaiser said: “Of all the things to say to Bono. They give off a really impressive blue flame when they’re alight, so I thought he might have done.”

A surprised Bono said he’d not engaged in snack-based arson. The Kaisers are now taking a break following their festival gigs. Hide the matches…
