Is this the fashion faux pas of the year?
Bono was spotted over the weekend wearing yellow pants while walking around St. Tropez, France. Don’t adjust your monitor … this is really what color they are:

Actually brightly coloured pants for men is very on point for fashion right now. If you go into your local GAP / Banana Republic etc and if they have any of their summer collection still around you’ll see bright blues, reds, yellows, and oranges for mens pants.
Bono’s right on trend with this one…
Hehehehe. Bono is a 52-year-old man and looks terrible in those photos. Any employee at one of those Banana Republic/GAP stores would agree with me on this. “Trendy” clothes generally aren’t for those approaching senior citizen status. It’s like a 52-year-old woman wearing short shorts. Ewwwww. (Remember my wife ran an Eddie Bauer for many years.)
He might be 52, but usual fashion rules don’t apply to rock stars… apparently! After all, not many guys his age should attempt to pull off the leather pants look he sported during 360.
However, is it just me, or is that hat the true fashion faux pas in the photo?!
@m2 - personally I think everyone looks bad in the bright yellow pants lol. it’s not just Bono, it’s just a little too bright and it’s rare I see anyone pull it off. Even the mid-20s hipster the look seems pushed towards. I’d rather him trying to fit into something like this that isn’t skin tight leather as Peter mentions. His shirt seems much more ill fitting than the pants, and the hat throws me off more than either…at least he’s trying to keep his look fresh and hasn’t retreated to sweatpants and tshirts in his ‘off season’.
I like the yellow pants! Bono is obviously a God and I think these pants still show how hip he is! haha He doesn’t always have to wear dress pants
I love it! It reminds me of something in the vein of Pop era U2.
He is in St tropez where fashiionistas reign so he fits right in he is looking like the good life is filling him up !
I really dig the fact that Bono was bold with his clothing choice. Its great that he’s daring enough to wear colored jeans! You trendsetter, you!
It works for a rock star with such a history of wearing insanely bright clothing in the past. This look reminds me of the cover of the albums Pop and Zooropa-neon lemon yellow! Very cool!
Maybe they’re Ali’s!!
