Gibson has named 10 Great U2 Guitar Songs in a recent feature.
Predictably, “Mysterious Ways” and “With Or Without You” made the cut, but the rest of the selections are painfully mainstream.
On my personal list, I would have included “The Fly,” “All I Want Is You” and “The Electric Co.”

Just to be different. Hold Me Thrill Me is for when the list is turned up to 11.
Because of the lush and complex - yet tasteful - layering of various guitar parts, and the way they elevate and accentuate the song, I would say “Stay (Faraway, So Close!)”
“Until The End of the World” should be on the list!
As a guitar player I find the selection weird. New Years Day is more of a piano song, and Beautiflu Day is not that guitar driven either. Songs like WOWY or Streets are indeed amazing on guitar, but i would not include them as they take a very specific sound setup to function well.

Until the End of The World, WTSHNN, Electric Co. 11:00 tick tock - (particularly the version from Irving Plaza in 2000), The Fly, Bullet the Blue Sky, Breathe, Acrobat, Silver and Gold, New York

I’ve always been a big fan of the Guitar part(s) on Staring At The Sun, although they get a bit lost in the Production, always wondered what the Album would sound like if they revisited it.
Otherwise I don’t think I’d mention anything new to what has already been said, Ultraviolet, Unknown Caller and Electrical Storm would all be on the List.
