Well, there was a long standing comment/rule from Paul McGuinnes that no band should never be photographed in shorts. There goes nearly 35 years of hard work out the window.
Well, it seems like many artists like to go out for a ride. Recently in Pennsylvania before a DMB show, Dave Mathews was out riding his bike, had a flat tire and hitched a ride with 2 people going to his concert.
David Byrne likes to ride around towns he is playing in and I heard Peter Gabriel likes to ride his bike to his show from the hotel when he can (although that’s been quite a while since I heard that).
I’m just surprised he wears a helmet.
It’s obligatory to wear helmets when riding a bike in many European country and even in those where it’s not, you see many people wearing helmets because it’s a security issue. I say: Good for Bono to be a role model here by wearing a helmet (even though it looks stupid
)
