   thanks everyone!

   the fly alphabet took a long time, actually! i first had the idea back in in 1991 while watching the Zoo TV special on TV, and thought, ‘Bono should do the alphabet!” it took 16 years until I became the u2oons guy for @u2, and — whamo! — here it is.

   it only took two hours to draw, but then took a painful 10 hours to figure out how to make a button in Flash — which was most frustrating because i actually knew Flash a little bit years before and forgot everything! (and then it took another bunch of hours to get it to look good in wordpress — thanks for all your help, Matt!)

   if anyone’s curious: back in grad school i made a little Flash game called the Floating Pagoda Game, which is an off-the-grid simulator commemorating the three years I lived off the grid in Alaska.

    Can I perform all of my floating pagoda duties and still find time for deep thoughts? The answer is a resounding “No.” LOL, is it meant to be impossible, or am I just too impatient to keep playing until I develop a strategy? ;p

    Also, I won in your game. The secret to life is do your chores.
    Very funny. Quite difficult, though.

    hey erika -

    oh, yes, it IS possible to have deep thoughts! simply get to a position where everything is kept down long enough!

    basically everything is randomized, so luck is part of it, but it is far from impossible.

    but whatever you do, don’t let the wood floor get too dirty! serious consequences await…
